May will be a Seoul exciting month!
travelling together with the BFF again has always been on my wishlist. last year was out as i was preggy so finally this year arrive & we plan to go to Tokyo or Korea for a shopping spree.
Shirlene is fine with going Tokyo/Korea while my initial preference was Tokyo because i love Japan. but i have been there twice & might have a chance to go there again in October this year. so we decided on Korea since both of us have never been there before. i'm pretty happy to have booked the air tickets & hotel room through Expedia at a pretty reasonable package price. all thanks to Shirlene who went to check out the deal again earlier that day. if not, we would have missed it & that will cost us another S$400+ per pax.
we went to Kinokuniya together during lunchtime last week & bought a few guide books on Korea. after browsing through the recommended places of interest, i can't wait to set foot in Seoul. wish the husband could join but too bad he has to take care of Jayvier, who is still too young to travel overseas. i am looking forward to enjoy this short break since the last holiday i had was two years ago. hope it will turn out to be a fun & fulfilling trip for the BFF & i!

We are fortunate to be in Singapore
my ex-GM sent us an e-mail this morning after he landed safely in Tokyo yesterday.
Dear all,
I arrived at Tokyo on Feb 12 on schedule.
Sorry to be delayed notice of safe arrival due to
delayed computer setting until today.
It is much colder than expected here.
It is hard to wake up and get out of quilt in the morning.
It is freezing every morning.
Commuting is the most horrible thing.
I woke up 6:30 left home 6:50 reached office 9:20 today.
These life was beyond my expectation.
I want to live longer until 100.
I wonder I can if I continue life like this.
Anyway try my best.
I hope you do best to make money with compliance
as Singapore is much better environment to hit upon good business idea
and engage it than Tokyo. I wish your happy and healthy life too.
See you next month anyway.
i burst out laughing after reading 'cos he sounded really upset to be posted back to Tokyo. is it really that miserable to live in Tokyo? if yes, then i ought to count my blessings to be here.
anyway, i wish him well and hope he really can live till 100 years old. haha....

V-Day 2012
the husband & i have a baby to look after so we didn't plan anything special for V-Day this year. however, i sort of knew that he had ordered something to be delivered to my office today. how did i know? simply because earlier last week, he asked for my office address suddenly, saying that our banker need it for the loan application. so lame lor. (rolled eyes) but it still turned out to be a little surprise as i was expecting roses or my favourite tulips instead of a huge bouquet of ferreo rocher. it was a sweet gesture & i really appreciate it 'cos i didn't prepare anything for him...

| love it! |
while on my way to work this morning, i purposely detoured to a florist shop. other than bouquets of roses, i saw many stalks of beautiful daisies & decided to get one for the BFF. i sneakily left it on her desk & thought it will take her a while to figure who it was from. who knows, my handwriting gave me away.

Compact with built-in Wi-Fi
![]() |
| Canon Ixus 530 HS |
The 530 HS has built-in Wi-Fi and 3.2-inch touch screens instead of regular 3-inch LCDs. The Wi-Fi will allow you to wirelessly backup to a home computer; upload photos and videos directly to the Canon Image Gateway cloud service for storage and sharing online; and in March, an iOS app will be available letting you create an ad hoc network so you can directly transfer your shots from the camera to an iOS device. That way you can share on the spot even if you don't have a wireless network connection. An Android app will follow in May. The Canon Ixus 530 HS will be US$349.99 when it ships in April. The Canon Ixus 320 HS will be out in March for US$279.99.
i think the built-in Wi-Fi function is really cool 'cos it save the hassle of uploading photos through the SD card. can't wait for the iOS app to be released too. hope to get my hands on it after i confirmed my Bangkok trip in April.

Half a year old!
at 24th week, our little boy loves rolling from his back to his tummy a lot. the thought of having to change his diapers is nerve-racking at times now 'cos he tends to wriggle a little too much. he isn't crawling yet, but he can lung forward with the help of his head which is totally hilarious. he will suck on anything now, including his toes. he's easily tickled & loves to smile & chuckles a lot. we will glow with pride whenever a stranger commented that he is a cute & cheerful boy. it is amazing to see how Jayvier is grown from a newborn, unable to do much at all, to an active baby who rolls over & tries to hold his own milk bottle during feeding. =)

Rainbow after the rain ☂
it was drizzling when i was on my way to my parents-in-laws' place to pick up Jayvier in the evening. while walking, i screen through Twitter updates on my iPhone & saw Shirlene's tweet about wondering if she will get to see any rainbows after a sudden downpour. i looked up into the sky & was surprised to really see a full & clear rainbow. i immediately took photos & replied to her tweet with the pic. can't remember when was the last time i saw a rainbow... it made me stopped for a few minutes & stare in complete awe at how beautiful nature is. that is definitely something that money can't buy!

GroupShot
i wanna share this cool app which i downloaded from the Apple store last night.
it is a photo-editing app that make group picture perfect by swapping out the imperfect parts like closed eyes or unintentional poses. other than group/family photos, this app is also useful for people like me who often take photos with kids & dogs. it's always so difficult to get Jayvier & my dachshunds to look at the camera lens. the photos will either turn out they are looking at the wrong way or i wasn't smiling at my best. i know photoshop can be done to merge several photos into a perfect one but i have yet to master such pro PS skills. here's an example of how easy a good shot can be created just by a few clicks away using GroupShot.
| i look better in the photo on the left but my little boy was distracted by don't-know-what |
![]() |
| just like most of the photo apps, you can choose to take a new photo or upload from your camera roll |
![]() |
| the uploaded photos should be nearly identical to get a great result |
![]() |
| "yellow out" the imperfection by swiping over the face that you want to remove |
![]() |
| replace with a face that's looking at the camera from the right column & wait for the transformation |
![]() |
| ta-dah! |
![]() |
| save the new photo to your camera library or share it through e-mail, Facebook or Twitter |
the only bottom line is that it's not a free app. i downloaded it at US$0.99, which is a introductory price for a limited time. i'm obsessed with photos apps so i don't mind to pay a small amount of money for a good & easy-to-use app like this. ^^

恭喜发财!
CNY this year is somewhat a little different for us. the attention was shifted to our little boy who is still too young to understand why everyone is giving him red packets. we were surprised he is able to hold the ang bao in his tiny hands & that made hubby's relatives very happy.
| thanks hubby's cousin, Robin, for the cap which came in really handy later in the day |
| the handsome boy on the right is Robin's son, Brandon |
| the kiddos |
| i am utterly besotted with his chubby cheeks |
| Jayvier is blessed with sweet Zoya who dotes on him a lot |
left hubby's grandma place after two hours & had a late lunch at Ding Tai Feng with his family. decided to visit the River Angbao together since there is no where we could go. it didn't turn out as crowded as we had expected due to the drizzle. there is nothing much to see like the past years so we took turns to take photos with our own zodiac signs

| my mother-in-law's snake |
| father-in-law's & Zoya's boar |

our son really loves crowd. he will wave his arms & kick his legs in excitement whenever a stranger make eye contact with him. he never fail to make us laugh out loud with his hilarious expressions. with my little joker boy around, CNY is no longer that boring to me. next Lunar New year, he will be running around!
